Harald Hoff studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in production technology at RWTH Aachen University and subsequently completed his doctorate at the Research Institute for Rationalization FIR in Aachen.
Following his doctorate, he founded HIR Hoff Industrie Rationalisierung GmbH, based in Wiesbaden, as a spin-off of the institute and took over or founded other companies such as SERWIS GmbH, PRORATIO GmbH and CHECKVISION GmbH, an internet platform with topic portals for checklist-based decision management, as the main shareholder. The platform is used by the MES-D.A.CH. association, among others, as part of its own portal for interactive MES market studies.
Dr. Hoff has contributed to the creation of the MES guideline 5600 of the VDI and is certainly one of the best-known and most distinguished neutral MES consultants in the German-speaking world today due to the large number of personal consulting projects in the PPS and MES environment.
