Every year, the ERP Congress takes up the trend topics currently being discussed in companies relating to ERP, business software and application systems with top-class speakers. Panel discussions enabled the controversial and at the same time informative exchange, for example of different strategies or consulting approaches. With visit to the ERP Congress 2020, visitors received up-to-date specialists knowledge and numerous opportunities to contact well-known experts for the ERP market and the implementation of ERP projects.

ERP Congress – the best providers
On the first day of the ERP Congress, the „ERP System of the year“ competition took place in addition to the trade fair and other program items. The finalists of the competition presented their important events dedicated specifically to the topic of the ERP systems from a scientific and practical point of view. The event is suitable for visitors who deal with topics related to selection, introduction and further development.

ERP competition: The winners have been chosen!

The exciting final was broadcasted live on the Internet. The high attendance in the live stream confirms the high level off interest in the best ERP systems. In the Startup ERP category for fast-growing companies, the finalists D&G Software, Vectotax and Optibit competed against each other. The winner was the company Vectotax with the solution TaxMetall. CVS Ingenieurgesellschaft and Abona Deutschland GmbH competed for the crown in the international ERP category as finalists. With a customer example in 30 countries and over 3000 users, CVS convinced the jury with its Alphaplan solution. In the „Automotive ERP“ category, Timeline Business Solution narrowly beat out PSI Automotive & Industry, which was also very good. In the category ERP for the high-tech industry Asseco fought against Dontenwill and the newcomer Helium. Asseco was able to take the prize back to Karlsruhe. The final in the platform ERP category was also very exciting. Here Modula, Werbas and Weclapp fought for the crown, which Weclapp could decide for itself. D&G-Software GmbH was awarded the SME special prize, because the ERP system VS/4 offers the best solution for small and medium-sized companies in the mail order business, according to the jury.

ERP workshop

The ERP workshops offered interested users an insight into different functional areas of ERP systems and the interaction with other systems. Potential users were offered insights into successfully completed selection and implementation projects and methodological support for important decisions. Experts gave specific tips for different sectors. The lectures of the ERP workshop took place parallel to the offered trade fair. Between the lectures, the workshop offered space for individual exchange among the participants and with the speakers.

ERP checks digitization

As part of the ERP digitization check, participants received brief advice and assistance on questions relating to ERP systems and operational application software. Here basic questions were answered and methodological assistance was offered for questions relating to the topics of ERP systems. The participants questions could relate to all phases of ERP projects. In the context of ERP projects, for example, questions of need (Is a new ERP system necessary?), profitability (ROI), the implementation methodology or the design of the process are relevant. During the quick checks, questions concerning the design of the system landscape were also discussed. In addition to ERP systems, there are often specialized additional systems in use that need to be taken into account.
