Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions regulate the contractual relationship between the participants of seminars, workshops, conferences, congresses, exhibitions and trade fairs etc. (hereinafter “event”) and GITO mbH (hereinafter “organizer”). These apply as long as nothing else is regulated separately for the event.

Venue
The venue is indicated in the current program of events. Unless otherwise stated, the organizer is the

Registration/Conditions of Participation
Registrations for the event must be received in writing and provided with a legally valid signature. Incoming online registrations via the Internet and e-mail are processed without an electronic signature or electronic signature accepted. Since participation in particular in event elements such as company visits and the like. are limited in number, the registrations will be considered according to the date of receipt. Upon receipt of the registration, a confirmation of registration and an invoice will be sent. In principle, the invoice must be paid before the start of the event. There is no general right to participate; GITO mbH Verlag reserves the right to admit participation in individual cases. GITO mbH reserves the right to take photos and video recordings at an event and to subsequently distribute these via its websites, social media channels and print publications. With the binding participation in an event, the participant agrees to the use of the images in the above-mentioned framework.

Participation Costs/Cancellation
There is no cancellation. However, it is possible to name a substitute participant. For a processing fee of an additional €50 plus VAT, the customer can rebook to another event within one year. GITO mbH reserves the right to change the location and/or time of the entire event or individual parts, or to cancel it at short notice. In the event of a complete cancellation (exception: force majeure) of the event, the participation fees already paid will be refunded. Further claims are excluded unless they are based on intentional or grossly negligent behavior by employees of GITO mbH or other vicarious agents. GITO mbH reserves the right to provide equivalent substitute speakers. In this case there is no right to a refund of the event fees.

Liability
Insofar as events take place in rooms and on the property of third parties, GITO mbH is not liable to the participants for accidents and loss or damage to their property, unless the damage is due to intentional or grossly negligent behavior by employees of GITO mbH or other vicarious agents.

copyrights
The event-related lectures and documentation are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially in any form – not even in part – without the consent of GITO mbH and the respective speakers; unless copyright expressly allows it. The approval of the organizer or the respective author must be obtained in advance for all film and sound recordings intended to be made during the event. Photographs are permitted to a reasonable extent for private purposes. GITO mbH assumes no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any inaccuracy in the content of the lectures and documentation. This also applies to documents provided online for the respective events.

Privacy Policy
By sending the order/registration to us, you consent to the information you provide being stored by GITO mbH Verlag für Industrielle Informationstechnik und Organization, Kaiserdamm 23, 14057 Berlin, in your subscriber or customer file and for processed and used for the purpose of providing the service and for billing and, if necessary, forwarded to service providers commissioned for this purpose. I consent to GITO mbH Verlag für Industrielle Informationstechnik und Organization processing my personal data, sending information and advertising communications about its events, products and services and contacting me by telephone. I agree to the processing and transfer of my personal data by GITO mbH Verlag für Industrielle Informationstechnik und Organization and affiliated companies to third parties, so that they can send me advertising messages and information limited to Gito topics and I agree to being contacted by telephone. At events organized by GITO mbH Verlag für Industrielle Informationstechnik und Organisation, film and sound recordings as well as photos are made, and by attending the event you agree to their later use.

Jurisdiction
These conditions and the entire legal relationship between the parties are subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. As far as legally permissible, Berlin is agreed as the place of performance and place of jurisdiction.

Should a provision of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The ineffective provision should be replaced by an effective provision that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose of the ineffective provision.
