Decisions about a new ERP system are expensive and bind the company for many years, so making the right choice is important. A very good combination of market coverage and expert information was offered by the ERP Congress with exclusive trade fair 2019 in Frankfurt, organized by the Center for Enterprise Research (CER). For two days, visitors had the opportunity to talk to the ERP System of the Year finalists and get answers to all questions about ERP and enterprise software. In addition to interesting presentations and the exciting ERP System of the Year finale, expert speakers were one hand for personal exchanges. The gala was hosted by Sandra Berndt as the presenter of the ERP System of the Year 2019 award ceremony. Ms. Berndt is known to a wider audience as an experienced journalist and TV presenter.<\/p>\n

ERP as a driver of digitization<\/strong>
The ERP Congress is one of the most important events dedicated specifically to the topic of ERP systems from a scientific and practical point of view.
The event is suitable for visitors who deal with topics related to selection, introduction and further development.<\/p>\n

ERP Congress \u2013 the best providers<\/strong>
On the first day of the ERP Congress, the \u201eERP System of the Year\u201c competition took place in addition to the trade fair and other program items. The finalists of the competition presented their important role in the age of digitization in exciting supplier presentations and gave insights into the special features of their systems. <\/span>godesys AG was able to convince the jury with its interesting interpretation of WfMS and DMS in the user interface, the functional integration and the very appealing ergonomics. The jury particularly liked the opening tools. So the customer also benefits from the open source philosophy.

ERP for Industrie 4.0 \/ Internet of things<\/b>
<\/span>The jurors were impressed by the AI applications from Asseco Solutions AG. In addition, the general approach of the company with the participation of the customer should be highlighted. The company manages to cover many Industry 4.0 aspects and is characterized by the strong integration of the machine level into the ERP system. Additionally, the marketing program is balanced for visibility, lead generation, and customer retention\/acquisition.
<\/span>Handcraft<\/b>
<\/span>Die WERBAS AG emerged as the winner from this category thanks to its very good industry focus, experience in dealing with craft businesses and the modular training catalogue. The concrete customer benefit is reflected in the customer-specific functions of the system. In addition, WERBAS AG relies on the use of new media.<\/span>
Serial Production<\/b>
<\/span>The jury honored the very innovative presentation format at oxaion gmbh. The company has implemented control via the Kanban board well and has mobile solutions. The communication with existing customers is very good The communication with existing customers is very good and the system is also characterized by a clear user interface.
<\/span>Food industry<\/b>
<\/span>CSB-System AG provides digital tools as an aid to system implementation. As a result, and thanks to an extensive portfolio of communication channels, the integrated process consulting and quality management and supply chain mapping, CSB-System AG received the first place in this category. The company has a high level of industry knowledge and creates a high level of industry-specific benefits for its customers.<\/span>
Best technology<\/b>
<\/span>The TimeLine Business Solutions Group won in this category thanks to the ability to flexibly configure masks and the technology to enter data from pdfs and e-mails. The system has an impressive development environment, including developments for third-party systems.<\/span>
Omni-Channel Support
<\/b><\/span>CVS Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH made it to number 1 due to the excellent omni-channel marketing and the wide-ranging customer communication via many channels. Among other things, the individually adaptable dashboard and the auto-completion in the search assistant create very good ergonomics for power users. The company offers reliable technology for all operating modes that occur and creates a comprehensive interpretation and integration of the various channels.<\/span>
SME special prize<\/b>
<\/span>The jury chose D&G Software GmbH this year. The high customer benefit in the SME sector and the scope and implementation of various projects convinced the jury. <\/span><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The ERP workshops offered interested users an insight into different functional areas of ERP systems and the interaction with other systems. Potential users were offered insights into successfully completed selection and implementation projects and methodological support for important decisions. Experts gave specific tips for different sectors. The lectures of the ERP workshop took place parallel to the offered trade fair. As part of the ERP digitization check, participants received brief advice and assistance on questions relating to ERP systems and operational application software. Here basic questions were answered and methodological assistance was offered for questions relating to the topics of ERP systems. The participants questions could relate to all phases of ERP projects. In the context of ERP projects, for example, questions of need (Is a new ERP system necessary?), profitability (ROI), the implementation methodology or the design of the process are relevant. During the quick checks, questions concerning the design of the system landscape were also discussed.
